Freedom Valley Worship Center – Gettysburg, PA

Freedom Valley Church sought out Spire to design and install an updated video system as well as updated lighting in their worship space.

The video system was designed to cover 2 – 40′ walls with approximately 10′ of height.  To do this, Spire used 2 projectors edge blended per wall.  To drive the display, Spire used an Apple Mac Mini with a DualHeadToGo per wall, with Renewed Vision’s ProVideoPlayer as the media playback engine.  The projectors are Vivitek full WUXGA resolution at 4800 Lumens each.  Using ProVideoPlayer allows the church to mask areas of the wall to display the video content across portions of the wall or the whole wall if desired.

The existing lighting system was updated with a new lighting console and new fixtures. An architectural control system was added so anyone using the room outside of a service has access to simple lighting controls at the push of a button, without needing to turn on the lighting console. The existing Par fixtures were replaced with ETC Fresnel fixtures which are brighter with more control, while using less power.  Apollo Multiform HP3-90 LED fixtures were used to provide colored backlighting across the stage.  The outdated lighting control console was replaced with the Cognito from Pathway Connectivity, giving them the ability to pre-program the lighting for each week.

“Spire was able to create an incredibly immersive environment without distraction from lighting fixtures. Their selection of fixture placement and color really brought their work to life and I am very happy our ultra compact luminaries were chosen to create the magic.”

Kevin Parks of Wilson High School

“Spire is not only able to deliver a fantastic result, but they were also extremely personal, and have been helpful in training, repairing, and guiding us through our lighting needs.”

Pastor Monty of Mongul Church

“(Members of Spire) were able to interpret what a non-technical person is saying, know how to fix it and articulate back the solution to me. That’s key. It’s nice, because not all technical people can do that translation.”

Toni MacDonald of Rosemont College

“The team at Spire brought our auditorium into the 21st They assessed our needs and presented a solution that is user friendly and cutting at the same time. They have a knack for understanding the end user, in our case, senior citizens as well as our staff members.”
